The government knows better than to "confiscate" your wealth...

...this time around, they'll just tax it away:

-State sales tax (up to 10%)

-Taxed at TWICE the Federal capital gains rate (28%)

Temporary workaround solutions:

-Buy >$1,500 of gold or silver in California, to avoid sales tax

-Own GLD or IAU in your 401K or IRA

-Own physical metals, but never tell anyone about your gold.
